Registered Nurse Progressive Care

divh2Progressive Care Registered Nurse/h2pWe are seeking a Progressive Care Registered Nurse or PCU RN, internally referred to as our Progressive Care Nurse. In the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), the PCU RN or Step-Down RN will provide specialized care to patients with acute and/or chronic medical conditions who require close monitoring, intervention, and support to optimize their outcomes and facilitate their transition to lower levels of care./ppShifts Available: Nights/ppEmployment Type: Per Diem/ppHours: 12hr - 7 pm-7 am/ppLocation: Dallas Regional Medical Center Mesquite, TX/ph3Responsibilities/h3pEssential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):/pulliConduct assessments of patients conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, neurological status, respiratory status, and overall clinical stability, you will need to monitor changes in patients conditions and respond promptly to any deterioration/liliUtilize telemetry and other monitoring devices to continuously monitor patients cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation levels, blood pressure, and other parameters you must be able to recognize and interpret abnormalities in monitoring data/liliAdminister medications as directed by physicians, encompassing intravenous medications, antibiotics, pain management medications, and cardiac medications, while vigilantly monitoring patients for any adverse reactions or side effects/liliPerform nursing interventions and treatments as ordered by physicians, such as wound care, catheter care, suctioning, and administration of oxygen therapy, which may include assisting with procedures/liliAdhere to evidence-based practice guidelines, hospital policies, and protocols related to patient care, infection control, and safety/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3pBefore we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
