Manager, Process Engineering

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Manager, Process Engineering to lead a team of five process engineers supporting sterile manufacturing operations at its Greenville, North Carolina facility. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with responsibility for process improvements, troubleshooting, and technology transfers in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of five process engineers
- Provide hands-on floor support and troubleshoot manufacturing and process issues
- Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective actions
- Support technology transfers and manufacturing changeovers
- Partner with operations, quality, maintenance, and engineering to drive process improvements and efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related technical discipline
- 6+ years pharmaceutical manufacturing experience with direct sterile fill/finish operations expertise
- 3+ years leadership experience managing engineers or technical teams in manufacturing
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills in manufacturing environments
- Experience supporting technology transfers, changeovers, and new product introductions
- Strong sterile manufacturing expertise and hands-on technical capability
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
