About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 Years in Labor and Delivery License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state/district Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: - Must live 50 miles away - Labor and Delivery Experience Required - Cerner Experience Required Description: The patient population includes females of childbearing years. Patients may be pregnant at 17 weeks gestation, laboring, or scheduled for procedures. Common procedures include C-sections, external cephalic versions, and cerclage. Triage issues are also addressed on the unit. Activities on the unit include admissions, discharges, transfers, pre-op, and deliveries. Both vaginal and cesarean deliveries are performed. Common equipment used in Labor and Delivery includes fetal monitors, Cerner, and Fetalink for documentation.
