The successful candidate will provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, functional ability, and quality of life through examination, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment. Job Responsibilities Perform objective functional evaluations and develop plans of care with measurable goals Implement appropriate treatment interventions based on patient status, diagnosis, and age Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation of examinations, evaluations, diagnoses, prognoses, plans of care, education, and interventions Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes and provide on‑site clinical supervision to Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehabilitation Aides Evaluate patient progress toward goals and modify plans of care as needed Provide patient, family, and clinician education regarding functional status and care plans Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-approved program Current and valid New York State Physical Therapy license or registration (or limited permit) Current and valid BLS or CPR certification (Inpatient facility only) Excellent oral and written communication skills Basic computer skills Preferred Qualifications Master's or Doctorate (DPT) in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-approved program Current and valid BLS or CPR certification (Outpatient facility only) 1–2 years experience in Hospital (Inpatient) or Orthopedic (Outpatient) Rehabilitation settings Experience in Neuro Outpatient settings NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to inclusion in all aspects of recruitment and employment.
