Permanent Supportive Housing Team Lead

The City of Virginia Beach is eagerly seeking to hire a candidate who has experience working with adults with serious mental health and/or substance use disorders in the community and behavioral health settings for the Permanent Supportive Housing Team Lead position.

This position works within a fast-paced environment that consists of direct and supportive supervision with complex participants with serious mental health and or substance use disorders that will occur in the office and in the community.

And here's the exciting part - a $4,000 hiring bonus is being offered for this position!

Responsibilities:

• Provide supervisory oversight and coordination of the Housing First Permanent Supportive Housing program and crisis and safety planning services in mental health and substance abuse settings.
• Provide clinical and day-to-day supervision of the Permanent Supportive Housing Program, staff and program operations through the incorporation of behavioral technologies in rendering client care and the assurance of rapid housing coordination.
• Provide direct supervision, guidance, and leadership to team members who provide PSH and supportive services to individuals in the community, to include participation in standby coverage, during the evening and weekends.
• Complete performance evaluations, quality assurance reviews, and the co-facilitation of team meetings for the purpose of disseminating pertinent programmatic information.
• Develop methods to monitor and track all essential programmatic activities and documentation due dates to ensure compliance with DBHDS operating guidelines and evidence-based standards of care.
• Support and implement Evidenced based Housing First, Harm Reduction, and SAMSHA fidelity models for the DBHDS PSH program.
• Provide educational presentations to internal and external customers to enhance education and awareness of evidence-based housing resources.
• Complete screenings for referrals to determine eligibility and admission to the PSH program; communicate with housing agency representatives and other authorized housing staff regarding resident's subsidy status, application criteria, and applicant eligibility.
• Ensure timely submission of core documentation associated with PSH program to include annual lease recertifications, ROI's, Quarterly Reviews, and ISP revisions.
• Provide Clinical and QA Chart Reviews of PSH staff to ensure documentation requirements are completed with accuracy and timeliness monthly and ensure timely correction and submission of discrepancies.
• Monitor PSH funding requests via database and submits a reconciled report each month that assesses funds spent in each line item.

Hiring bonuses shall only be for new hires of original employment or re-employment as defined in Human Resources Policy No. 5.0.

• $1,000 will be awarded in the first paycheck.
• $1,250 will be awarded upon completion of the six (6) month interim performance evaluation with an overall rating of "Meets Expectations".
• $1,750 will be awarded upon completion of the employee's one (1) year probationary period and a performance evaluation with an overall rating of "Meets Expectations".
