Breakfast Attendant

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for preparing, setting up, and maintaining the breakfast area in the hotel. This role ensures guests have a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience by providing excellent customer service, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the area is fully stocked and organized throughout breakfast service.

Essential Job Functions:

• Prepares and sets up the buffet area according to hotel standards.
• Ensures that all food and beverage items are fresh, replenished, and presented attractively.
• Greets guests promptly and provides a welcoming dining experience.
• Presents menus and explains offerings.
• Records and enters guests' orders, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
• Assists guests with entre selections and accommodates special dietary needs when necessary. Coordinates with kitchen staff to ensure correct order and presentation.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, counters, and floors.
• Prepares and processes checks, including handling payments and transactions.
• Monitors and ensures food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to at all times.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment and utensils after each use.
• Ensures that all items are restocked as needed throughout the service period.
• Assists with the breakdown of the buffet area and cleans the area after service.
• Responds to guest requests and resolves any issues promptly and professionally.
• Ensures that coffee machines, juice dispensers, and other breakfast equipment are in good working order.
• Promptly reports any maintenance issues to the appropriate staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen equipment.

Education & Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a food service in a hotel environment is preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is desirable.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Occasional bending, kneeling, or stooping.
• Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
