Job Location: SPRING VALLEY, NY 10977.

Position Type: Regular.

Salary Range: $18.00 - $26.00 Hourly.

Refuah Health is a federally qualified health center offering comprehensive care in Rockland and Sullivan Counties. It is staffed by over one hundred healthcare professionals with three decades of experience providing patient care.

Dental Assistant Responsibilities

• Prepares exam rooms for planned procedure.
• Stocks, prepares and maintains dental instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Prepares dental materials, composites, amalgams, cements, and impression materials as needed and instructed by the dentist.
• Maintains a sterile and neat working environment according to current infection control procedures.
• Reviews the health history, makes chart entries per protocol, and ensures completion of forms and signatures as appropriate.
• Reviews the pre‑op informed consent form and post‑op instructions with the patient prior to surgical procedure.
• Greets, identifies and escorts patients to the operatory.
• Properly drapes the patient while in the chair and familiarizes them with the aspects of their dental visit.
• Takes the appropriate radiographs that are of usable quality under the dentist’s instruction.
• Makes patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
• Assists the dentist in the administration of treatment at the chair side as required or directed by the dentist.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certified.
• Minimum one year of customer service experience preferred.
• NYS Dental Assistant certification preferred but not required.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
