Critical Care Float Pool - Travel Registered Nurse - $1740 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Critical Care Float Pool experience.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Cerner is preferred.

• BSN completion preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a District of Columbia license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <60 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: 1 previous travel assignment required. Must be strictly accountable for alarm management.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials: You must have DC license in hand, but certain units accept pending (See JD). MedStar will usually accept a later booking date if you have applied for DC licensure.

Unit Details: Overflow ICU float pool caring for general SICU, MICU overflow, Neuro ICU overflow, vascular overflow, trauma overflow, and thoracic overflow patients. Procedures/care include EGD, Bronch, Swann, and traction.

Shift & Scheduling: A/P rotating with day shifts 07:00 - 19:30 and night shifts 19:00 - 07:30. Every other weekend. Holidays as needed. Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week.

Floating Requirements: Critical care float pool nurses are assigned out of the staffing office and may float to MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, CVICU, CVSICU, IMC units, and ED/PACU to care for ICU/IMC boarders across the house.

7 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
