Adjunct - Welding Instructor Location: Logan, OH Job Id: 496 # of Openings: 1 Salary: Per credit hour, based on course assignment Position Purpose: Under the direct supervision of the Training Director, Welding, the instructor performs instructional duties including curriculum development, teaching, assessment, and maintaining a safe working environment. Duties and Responsibilities Assist with development of course outcomes and curriculum consistent with academic policies. Convey course outcomes to students and manage instructional activities with learner-centered methods. Provide evaluation methods, evaluate student learning fairly, and maintain accurate records. Post and maintain sufficient office hours aligned with student schedules. Submit grades on time and participate in college evaluation systems. Revise and update courses regularly and contribute to assessment of student achievement. Work cooperatively with others to accomplish departmental goals. Maintain a safe working area and conditions at all times. Qualifications – Education, Experience, and Skills Position Requirements Associate degree in field of study or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred from accredited institution. 5+ years industry experience preferred. AWS Certified Welding Educator or ability to obtain. Knowledge of technical drawings, blueprints, and welding processes. Strong organizational, record-keeping, and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and learning management systems (Blackboard preferred). Evidence of professional development such as memberships, seminars, workshops, or coursework. Knowledge of educational theory, learner-centered education, and educational technology. Commitment to student success and confidentiality. Safety awareness and knowledge of safe working conditions.
