Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nurse position is located in an acute care facility capable of managing a diverse patient population, including neuro, trauma, and medical cases. The role involves floating between units such as CVICU, NTICU, telemetry, and acute care units, providing advanced critical care to adult patients.

Job Details:

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Must have BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, and be licensed in Washington or eligible to obtain licensure. For experience, a minimum of 1 year of recent ICU experience in a large facility is preferred; 2 years of experience is ideal.
• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, totaling at least 36 hours per week.
• Additional Responsibilities: Float to various units including CVICU, NTICU, telemetry, neurology, surgical, orthopedics, and medicine. Assist with procedures such as chest tube insertion/removal, central line management, ventilator management, and administration of emergency medications. Manage complex neurological assessments, invasive procedures, and patient monitoring protocols.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma, dysrhythmia management, blood product administration, and use of specialized equipment like ventilators, CRRT, IABP, and Arctic Sun cooling.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must provide proof of licensure application, two recent references (including one supervisor), and relevant certifications. Must be willing to float to meet facility needs, with orientation provided upon assignment.
