TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Oncology RN in Bridgeport, West Virginia, 26330!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: MedSurg/Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN license required Certifications: BLS required Chemotherapy Biotherapy certification preferred Must-Have: Experience with general MedSurg patients, some Post-Operative cases, and oncology patients with complications. Ability to administer chemotherapy for permanent staff. Experience with chest tubes and PleurX systems is a strong plus. Understanding of titrating Heparin drips is required. Description: The unit encompasses 36 beds, primarily private rooms. Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1:5-6. Patient population includes general MedSurg patients, Post-Operative patients, and oncology patients. Common diagnoses include neutropenic precautions, pneumonia, and post-operative recovery. Occasional management of psychiatric patients with a 1:1 sitter may occur. Registered Nurses are required to read and interpret telemetry strips using Philips monitors. A charge nurse is available 24/7, and charge responsibilities may include patient assignments during night shifts. Certified Nursing Assistants are present on both day and night shifts, assisting with patient care. Respiratory therapy manages CPAP and BiPAP equipment on the unit. 12-hour shifts are the standard scheduling format. All staff must fulfill weekend duties, working every other weekend. Holidays will be rotated among all staff members. Floating to other units may occur, with MedSurg/Tele as the primary areas. Dress code requires Royal Blue scrubs for RNs.
