UI Lead - Front-End Architecture & Real-Time Trading Platforms New York, NY

We are partnering with an elite trading firm where the front-end directly powers trader P&L. You will own the UI product vertical for their core decision tools. This means building order entry systems and risk management platforms for a highly specialized group of power users who manage billions in capital. This is a player-coach role. You will manage a team of three engineers while spending the vast majority of your time writing production code in typescript. You will define the technical strategy. You will deliver millisecond-sensitive interfaces in a low-bureaucracy environment. The technical challenges are severe. You must process thousands of WebSocket messages per second without triggering React re-render cascades. The system relies on 10,000-row virtualized tables that require sub-second live updates. Jank is unacceptable. You will build synchronized visualizations that track live market data. You will drop down to WebGL when rendering dense order-flow footprints or 3D risk surfaces. You will orchestrate state management using Zustand or Jotai to handle concurrent streams of market data and risk limits. You need 8 to 12 years of professional front-end experience. Expert mastery of React internals and TypeScript. You must have a track record of shipping latency-sensitive interfaces.
