Contract | 13 Weeks | Rotating Day and/or Night Shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to laboring patients throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum phases
- Monitor fetal heart rate patterns and maternal vital signs, identifying and responding to changes in patient condition
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, supporting physicians and midwives in the delivery room
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and oxytocin per physician orders and unit protocols
- Educate patients and families on labor progression, pain management options, and newborn care
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record
Required Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in Labor & Delivery nursing
- Ability to work rotating day and/or night shifts
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS and/or NRP certification
- Experience with electronic fetal monitoring (EFM)
- Prior travel or contract nursing experience
