We provide comprehensive, compassionate services to children, teens, and adults navigating the death of someone close—offering support groups, community education, and resources to help grievers find hope and healing. We are a young nonprofit with ambitious goals: to build an enduring resource for grief support in our city. Our small, mission‑driven team is in our first full year of operations, creating the systems, culture, and programs that will serve thousands of New Yorkers with care, consistency, and excellence. Position Overview The Clinical Program Manager, Youth & Family Services is a part‑time founding clinical role responsible for launching and operationalizing Our House NYC’s Family Support Program (FSP) for children, adolescents, and their caregivers. Reporting to the Chief Clinical and Program Officer (CCPO), this position works closely with CCPO leadership to establish the program’s clinical framework, group structure, volunteer infrastructure, and community presence. As a Clinical Program Manager at the LCSW level, this role carries clinical authority within the Youth & Family program area, including responsibility for group facilitation, clinical judgment in participant placement and referral, and oversight of volunteer group leaders within the program. It does not supervise other clinical staff. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing nonprofit at the ground level and shape grief support programming for New York City’s youngest grievers and their families. The role is currently scoped at 20 hours per week, with the goal that it will grow to full‑time as the Youth & Family program expands. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus and will be noted in the candidate’s profile in support of future Spanish‑language program planning. Qualifications LCSW required Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience, with a focus on children, adolescents, or families Experience facilitating grief or psychoeducational groups strongly preferred Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to work independently in a startup environment Experience with volunteer coordination, training, or supervision preferred Familiarity with data management systems (Airtable, or similar) Bilingual English/Spanish a plus Key Responsibilities Given the part‑time scope of this role (20 hrs/week), responsibilities are focused on program launch, clinical group facilitation, volunteer development, and foundational operational systems. Family Support Program Launch & Clinical Operations Partner with the CCPO to implement the Family Support Program clinical framework, group structure, and service protocols Conduct Pre-Phone Intakes (PPIs) and Pre-Group Appointments (PGAs) for prospective FSP participants Facilitate children’s, adolescent, and caregiver grief support groups Manage participant placement, waitlist communication, and ongoing group coordination Apply clinical judgment in participant referrals to individual therapy and community resources Serve as Clinician on Duty during designated Youth & Family program evenings Consult with Our House LA colleagues for program model guidance and training support Recruit, interview, and onboard Volunteer Group Leaders for the Family Support Program Facilitate bi‑weekly Volunteer Group Leader supervisions and provide individual consultation as needed Maintain records and implement annual evaluations for each Volunteer Group Leader Assist in the development and refinement of FSP volunteer training materials as directed by the CPO Support volunteer engagement, retention, and appreciation initiatives Intern Supervision Supervise graduate‑level MSW/LMSW interns placed within the Youth & Family program, as the program scales Provide supervision in coordination with the CPO as educational coordinator Program Operations & Data Management Maintain accurate program data in Airtable, and other tracking systems Administer and evaluate pre- and post-group surveys to inform program improvement Maintain the Youth & Family program calendar Contribute to Board report narratives and data as directed by the CPO Monitor peer grief support offerings for children and families to identify collaboration opportunities Community Outreach & Education Initiate and respond to schools, pediatric hospitals, and community agencies requesting grief education and support Represent Our House NYC at community events and professional forums as appropriate Develop and maintain relationships with referral partners serving children and families in coordination with the CCPO Support workshop logistics and arrange payments in partnership with the Director of Finance On‑Site Grief Response – Youth & Family Respond to school and community inquiries for short‑term grief support following a death Coordinate OSGR logistics for youth and family engagements in partnership with the CPO Maintain and update OSGR materials; track activities for program evaluation Attend clinical, team, and all‑staff meetings as required within part‑time schedule Collaborate with the CPO and adult program team on shared organizational initiatives Receive individual clinical supervision from the CPO in compliance with NYS licensing requirements Participate in screening and onboarding of future Youth & Family program staff as directed Professional Development Remain current on grief research, child and adolescent bereavement, and evidence‑informed practices Attend relevant conferences and continuing education as appropriate Share knowledge and learning with the clinical team Note on Growth Path: This role is designed as a part‑time founding position with a currently planned trajectory toward full‑time as the Youth & Family program scales.
