Job Summary

Medical-Surgical Orthopedic Floor — Dallas, TX. This position supports a post-surgical orthopedic unit with a patient ratio of approximately 1:5 and ancillary support. The role involves caring for patients undergoing orthopedic spine, hip, knee, lumbar, cervical, and joint reconstruction procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
• Assignment Dates: 11/23/2026–02/22/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and medical-surgical nursing skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: Orthopedic experience and Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience.
• Additional Information: The unit provides care for post-surgical orthopedic patients, including those recovering from Tarlov or meningeal cyst removal, joint reconstruction, hip and knee surgery, lumbar and cervical disc surgery, and orthopedic spine surgery. The position requires an energetic, team-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment, particularly during the middle of the week.
