Our privately owned family practice has been in the Ballston area for over 30 years. Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. In this vital role, you will perform thorough dental cleanings, patient assessments, and education while ensuring adherence to infection control protocols and dental office standards. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow professionally while making a positive impact on our patients' smiles.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster lifelong healthy habits.
- Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in Dentrix, complying with HIPAA regulations.
- Follow strict infection control procedures using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination and ensure patient safety.
Skills
- Proficiency with Dentrix preferred.
- Knowledge of infection control standards, sterilization processes, and aseptic techniques aligned with OSHA guidelines.
