Surgery - General Physician

ALevel II Trauma Center in El Paso, TX is seeking a Locums Trauma Acute CareSurgery (ACS) Physician to provide ongoing trauma and acute surgical coverage.This opportunity is ideal for a surgeon experienced in managing high-acuitytrauma and emergency general surgery cases within a busy hospital-basedenvironment.

Thefacility is seeking providers for a combination of day and night coverageshifts in a collaborative trauma program.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma surgery and acute care surgery coverage
• Evaluate and manage traumatic injuries and emergency surgical conditions
• Perform emergency surgical procedures as clinically indicated
• Participate in trauma activations and inpatient surgical management
• Manage preoperative, operative, and postoperative patient care
• Collaborate with emergency medicine physicians, intensivists, APPs, and multidisciplinary trauma teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR system

Qualifications

• MD or DO required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery with Trauma/ACS experience
• Active Texas medical license preferred
• ATLS certification required
• ACLS and BLS certifications preferred
