Registered Nurse (RN) - Internal Medicine - $40-60 per hour

UW Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Internal Medicine department at University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. Work Schedule 90% FTE, evening/night shift with every other weekend rotation and holiday rotation. Shift/weekend differential included. Description Join a team of remarkable nurses that use compassion and advanced critical thinking skills to care for adults suffering from complex acute illnesses on this 28‑bed unit, including the Special Pathogens Unit. Provide care for acutely ill patients, including those with pneumonia, COPD, congestive heart failure, acute and chronic renal failure, cellulitis, gastrointestinal bleeds, liver failure, diseases of addiction, diabetes mellitus, COVID, and altered mental status. Be involved in cutting‑edge, evidence‑based therapies and research studies to improve patient outcomes. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice change. Work on a unit with a culture of shared governance and empowerment where each member of the team has a voice. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred. Six (6) months of nursing experience in inpatient units, central float (adult & pediatric), venous access team (VAT), radiology, hemodialysis, or cardiovascular laboratory, or current participation in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on a similar unit. Required. Relevant RN experience preferred. Licenses & Certifications Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact. Required. Current CPR/BLS certification. Required. Relevant certification preferred.
