Minnesota Oral and Facial Surgery is centered upon caring, lasting relationships with patients and their families.QualificationsCurrent licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Minnesota.Certification by the appropriate national certifying body (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA).Previous experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery, or a surgical specialty preferred.Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to travel to satellite offices.New and experienced graduates welcome to applyKey ResponsibilitiesPre-Operative Assessment and Preparation: Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations.Order and interpret diagnostic testsEducate patients and their families about surgical procedures, expected outcomes, and post-operative care.Surgical Assistance: Assist surgeons during proceduresPost-Operative Care: Provide immediate post-operative care and including wound managementPatient Management and Education: Counsel patients on pre- and post-operative instructionsCollaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with surgeonsWork collaboratively with another Nurse Practitioner.Travel to Satellite Offices: Periodic travel to our satellite officesBe available for shared on-call duties during weekends and evenings as needed.
