Batch Maker

Job DescriptionEuclid Chemical is currently seeking a Batch Maker to join our team in Odessa, FL. As a Batch Maker, you will be expected to set up, operate, or tend machines to mix or blend materials/chemicals - liquids, powders and/or color pigments. This individual also fills materials, such as chemicals, liquids, powders, and color pigments into containers.Why join our team? Euclid Chemical offers an attractive package for personnel, company benefits include but are not limited to:Medical, dental and vision coverageLife InsuranceAnnual Employee Bonus Program401k and PensionGenerous Vacation and Holiday time$19.00 per hourESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Review daily batch ticketsMake sure raw materials are available for daily activitiesRun batches through PLC / Whirl Air systemStart machines to mix or blend ingredients; then allow them to mix for specified timesWeigh or measure materials, ingredients, and products to ensure conformance to requirements.Start and maintain status of equipment for daily activitiesOperate or tend machines to mix or blend chemicals, powders, and color pigments.Dump or pour specified amounts of materials into machinery and equipment.Add or mix chemicals, powders, and ingredients for processing, using hand tools or other devices.Observe production and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.Stop mixing or blending machines when specified product qualities are obtained, and open valves and start pumps to transfer mixturesCollect samples of materials or products for laboratory testing.Examine materials, ingredients, or products visually or with hands, in order to ensure conformance to established standardsFill appropriate containers with product. Weigh and measure finished product. Seal lids onto containersClean and maintain machinery, equipment, and work areas to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditionsKeep an open line of communication with Supervisors and MaintenanceFollow safety guidelines using appropriate PPEWork powder line or assist in other departments when workload does not dictate two individuals on PLC batch makingEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or equivalent work experience.Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.SKILLS/ABILITIES:Ability to read and comprehend EnglishAbility to lift up to 60 lbs.Ability to work basic math problemsAbility to communicate among peers and work on a team
