Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Missouri physical therapy license required to start the assignment.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical physical therapy experience required. 2 years of experience is strongly preferred.
• Documentation experience required: Assessment, Evaluation, Discharge, Plan of Care, Reassessments, Short- and Long-Term Goals.
• Experience working primarily in outpatient settings required. Experience in acute care and skilled nursing facilities preferred.
• Familiarity with common equipment and devices preferred: gait belt, standard and rolling walkers, crutches, Hoyer lift, hospital bed, sit-to-stand lift, sliding boards, shoulder slings, supplemental oxygen, traction table, prosthetic devices.
• Assessment skills preferred: body mechanics, pain assessment, strength testing, vital signs.
• Geriatrics and orthopedics patient population experience preferred.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
• First-time travelers not accepted for this position.

Assignment Details

• Facility Type: Hospital (primarily outpatient therapy/rehabilitation).
• Shift Name: Days.
• Shift Details: Day 5x8-Hour. Typical hours approximately 08:00–16:30 (site notes indicate 8:00a–4:30p or 8:00a–4:30p/8a–4:30p consistency).
• Daily patient census: approximately 8 patients per day.
• Number of rooms/beds in department: approximately 25.
• Candidates may be expected to perform documentation tasks including assessments, evaluations, plans of care, and progress/reassessment notes.
