Job Description\n Prime Time Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Alexandria, Louisiana.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry\n Discipline: RN\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 48 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Cardiac Med-Surg/Telemetry RN – Day Shift\n Start: ASAPShift: Days, 7:00 AM–7:00 PMGuaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours per weekWeekends: Every other weekendCall: NoneRatio: Typically 1:5; occasionally 1:6Floating: Required as neededScrubs: Ceil blueOpenings: OneTemp-to-Perm: PossibleRequired Qualifications\n \n Active state RN license or compact license\n AHA BLS\n AHA ACLS\n One year of related nursing experience preferred\n BSN preferred\n Cardiac monitoring and medication-drip experience\n Patient Population\n \n Myocardial infarction\n Congestive heart failure\n Cardiac arrhythmias\n Peripheral vascular disease\n Medical-Surgical overflow\n Unit Details\n The department manages several cardiac medication drips. Nurses do not titrate these drips but must be comfortable monitoring them, recognizing complications and responding appropriately.Responsibilities\n \n Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care\n Administer medications and prescribed treatments\n Monitor treatment effectiveness and adverse reactions\n Manage cardiac patients and non-titrated drips\n Document assessments, symptoms, medications and interventions\n Educate patients, families and caregivers\n Delegate appropriate tasks to other members of the care team\n Float to other units when needed\n Additional Information\n \n Overtime is not billable until after 48 hours\n New hires complete organizational and Med-Surg competency validation\n Bedside orientation is provided by a designated preceptor\n \n About Prime Time Healthcare Nursing\n \n Prime Time Healthcare is a leading provider of traveling healthcare professionals nationwide.
