Unit Details

• Unit: ED Observation / Med Surg Tele Observation
• Bed Count: 16 beds
• Patient Population:
  • Emergency Department observation patients
  • Overnight observation stays
  • Post-surgical patients requiring overnight monitoring
• Patient Ratios:
  • Typical: 1:3–5
  • Maximum: 1:7
• Charting System: Epic
• Scrub Color: Navy

Required Experience

• Minimum 24 months of recent experience in one or more of the following:
  • Med Surg
  • Med Surg Telemetry
  • Telemetry
  • IMCU
  • Stepdown
  • PCU
• Previous travel nursing experience
• Epic EMR experience
• Heparin administration experience

Required Certifications

• Active Iowa RN License or Compact (Multistate) License
• BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• ACLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
