RN NICU, Per Diem, Nights

Responsibilities Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and providing high quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process. Work collaboratively with the Director of Women and Children Services. Distinguish health‑care provider services for the local multicultural community. Requirements Graduate of Registered Nursing Program Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Must be able to work in a union environment. Minimum of one (1) year recent experience in an acute care setting preferred. Two (2) years experience in a Nursery/NICU setting preferred. Valid California State Registered Nurse License Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certificate from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) or American Heart Association (AHA) S.T.A.B.L.E. Baby Assessment (required within 6 months of hire) Active Los Angeles County Fire Card (required within 30 days of employment) Assault Response Competency (ARC) (required within 30 days of employment) Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in individualized patient care within a Nursery/NICU setting, utilizing the nursing process while effectively communicating in a multicultural environment.
