About the Role:

Join HOUNDS TOWN WILMINGTON as a Kennel Attendant in Wilmington, NC, where your passion for animals meets a rewarding career. You will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our furry guests while providing exceptional care and attention.

Responsibilities:

Provide daily care and attention to dogs in our facility.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of kennel areas and play spaces.

Feed animals as directed.

Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to Shift Lead.

Assist with grooming and bathing as needed.

Ensure safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff.

Engage with Shift Lead to provide updates and answer questions.

Support team members in daily operations and special events.

Requirements:

Previous experience in animal care or kennel operations preferred.

Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with various dog breeds.

Physical stamina to lift and handle animals of different sizes.

Willingness to train in basic knowledge of animal behavior and health indicators.

Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Certifications in pet first aid or grooming a plus.
