Bakery Operations Lead (In-Training)

Responsibilities for Internal Candidates Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service. Train, coach, supervise, and evaluate Grocery associates; maintain performance standards; supervise and participate in all Grocery, Dairy and Frozen activities. Supervise the store in the absence of the Store Director or Assistant Store Director. Monitor and enforce all government and company regulations. The duties for this position are normally conducted in a store environment. Exposure to approximately 28°F while handling products in the cooler and -20°F while handling products in the freezer. There is significant responsibility to maintain customer service levels and handle multiple priorities. The position involves sharp knives and is occasionally exposed to dust, cleaning chemicals, and equipment movement hazards. This is a fast‑paced work environment where stressful situations are encountered. Qualifications for Internal Candidates Ability to solve practical problems and deal with multiple variables as they are presented. Ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, counting, and recording. Ability to understand and follow written, verbal, or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies orally or in writing. Visual requirements: clarity of vision at a distance of less than 20 inches to less than 20 feet, with color vision and depth perception. Ability to read descriptions on the boxes and shelf tags to order product and place merchandise in the proper locations.
