Occupational Therapist Petaluma, CA Specialty: Rehab Position Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Pay: $2345 - $2825 | Shift: Unknown Are you an Occupational Therapist looking for your next exciting challenge? Our healthcare partner is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join their team and provide exceptional care to patients in a skilled nursing facility. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing patients' quality of life by developing and implementing personalized therapy plans. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support for each patient.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, mental, and emotional needs
- Develop personalized treatment plans to improve functional independence in activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Provide direct therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment training, and cognitive training
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care
- Educate patients and families on home safety, adaptive techniques, and equipment
- Document patient progress and treatment plans in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
- Stay current on best practices and new treatment methodologies in occupational therapy
- Need 1 year experience in setting
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in CA
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric care setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, equipment, and therapeutic modalities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
