CMM Programmer III

The CMM Programmer III will perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of parts daily while also writing and verifying CMM programs for production. This role involves both hands-on inspection and programming responsibilities to ensure high-quality products. Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

• Write CMM programs offline and follow through to set-up and program verification for production
• Write CMM programs online to inspect finished products and process inspection
• Collaborate with other programmers and operators to achieve results
• Prove out data for nonconforming items
• Ensure there are no issues with fixturing and work with engineering groups to produce the best fixturing
• Follow the program through the first set-up and run to ensure accuracy
• Be actively involved in troubleshooting discrepancies and validating discrepancies as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and ANSI Y 14.5
• CMM programming and operating experience (Zeiss CMM, Calypso software)
• Be able to program per ISO 10360 standard
• Experience with various inspection tools (microscope, height gauges, micrometers, calipers)
• Basic working knowledge of SolidWorks (preferred)
• Working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 and other common industry standards
• Basic computer skills (file creation, saving, printing) and proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Knowledge of Epicor ERP 10 or similar management/manufacturing information system (preferred)

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum two years of experience with Calypso Software and Zeiss CMM; five years preferred
• Minimum five years of inspection experience or equivalent, with a focus on CMM programming

Certification (Preferred):

• Calypso Training Certificate (Basic & Advanced)
• SolidWorks basic working knowledge

Language Skills:

Ability to speak and understand basic safety and manufacturing instructions.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers. Ability to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Authorization to work in the United States. To conform to U.S. export control regulations, you should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
