DDP is a regional carrier with 9 terminals serving California, Arizona and the Las Vegas area.

We are looking for CDL Class A Truck Drivers to join our team!

The driver must have a Class A license with a hazmat endorsement preferred. This driver will be based out of or near the Kingman area and cover that area. Home every day.

Pay can vary depending on experience and other factors

The following required qualifications are given by the insurance company that the company must abide by.

Required Qualifications - Truck Driver - CDL Class A

· 25 years age or older

· 3 years or more of commercial driving experience

· 2 years or more experience with like equipment and commodity

· less than 3 moving violations, log book violations, and/or preventable accidents within the last 3 years

· driving privileges suspended at any time during the last 3 years

· any major violations (I.E. hit and run, DUI, reckless driving, negligent driving, excessive speed, open container, etc.) within the last 3 years.

Responsibilities - Truck Driver - CDL Class A

· Safely operate a heavy or tractor-trailer dry van

· Day work local deliveries and pick-ups

· Properly track and document activity log

Responsibilities

• Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents or violations

Skills

• Proven work experience as a truck driver
• Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc)
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
• Valid truck driving license
