Associate Attorney

Well-established civil litigation law firm located in Northridge, CA seeking recently admitted attorney to the CA State Bar. Role Description Want the opportunity to get your foot in the door as a new attorney and gain hands‑on practical experience litigating civil cases from start to finish? If so, this is the position for you. Our office is looking for a full‑time Associate Attorney that can handle a high‑volume caseload with help from legal support staff and guidance from supervising attorneys. Daily responsibilities include reviewing files and drafting complaints, communicating with clients, negotiating settlements, drafting and responding to written discovery, drafting motions, reviewing staff work, attending hearings and proceedings, and taking cases to trial when necessary. Strong attention to detail, organization, time‑management and multi‑tasking skills are essential for this role. Qualifications At least 1 year of law clerk, legal assistant, or similar experience at a law firm Strong organizational skills and detail‑oriented Ability to multi‑task productively, manage a large caseload, and excel in a high‑volume environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and teamwork Ability to work independently as a self‑starter as well as collaboratively in a team environment Experience in drafting motions, discovery, and communicating with clients is preferred Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and a current license to practice law in California Effective negotiation abilities to achieve favorable outcomes Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Adobe, and Excel programs Ability to commute is required – office is located in Northridge, CA 91325 Benefits 401(k) 401(k) matching Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid Time Off Schedule Monday to Friday Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full‑time Job function Legal Industries Legal Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
