Quick Facts Location: Lafayette, LA Start Date: 03/04/2026 End Date/Duration: Not specified Shift: Flexible, including inpatient rounds, surgical consults, and ER call Hours/week: 15-20 patients post-op, plus procedures Employment Type: Full-Time Locum License/Certifications: Valid Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license; certifications as required Experience: Preferred with cardiovascular surgical procedures Pay & Benefits Pay package discussed upon application (Hourly rate: $1.00) Benefits: Competitive pay, professional support, potential malpractice coverage, and more (details discussed during hiring process) What You’ll Do Provide inpatient rounding and surgical consultations for cardiovascular patients Assist in or perform procedures such as CABG, thoracotomies, lobectomies, AAA repairs, arterial bypasses, and aortic valve replacements Participate in emergency room call coverage and manage post-operative care Collaborate with a team of cardiovascular surgeons and other advanced practice providers Support program volume of approximately 90 surgeries per month Contribute to a comprehensive care team focused on patient outcomes and procedural excellence What You Need Valid Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license in Louisiana Experience with cardiovascular or thoracic surgical procedures preferred Strong clinical skills, teamwork, and communication abilities Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospital environment About the Assignment Join a dedicated team at a prominent hospital in Lafayette, Louisiana, performing high-volume cardiovascular surgery and providing exceptional patient care.
