Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Imaging and Special Procedures for a contract assignment at a leading medical center in Lawrenceville, Georgia. This role is integral to providing comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing a diverse range of diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures.

The successful candidate will be responsible for patient preparation, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery across various modalities, including Interventional Radiology (IR), Computed Tomography (CT), Ultrasound (US), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine (NM), and Fluoroscopy. This position requires a strong clinical background, exceptional assessment skills, and the ability to manage complex patient needs within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pre-procedure assessment, patient education, and preparation for various imaging procedures.
• Monitor patients during IR, CT, US, MRI, NM, and Fluoroscopy procedures, ensuring physiological stability and prompt intervention for any adverse reactions.
• Administer medications, including sedation and contrast agents, in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Deliver post-procedure recovery care, including vital sign monitoring, complication assessment, and detailed discharge instructions.
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists, imaging technologists, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless and coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation of all patient care activities.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse within a Special Procedures or Imaging specialty.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Preferred Qualifications

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in nursing care for Interventional Radiology (IR), Computed Tomography (CT), Ultrasound (US), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine (NM), and Fluoroscopy.
• Strong critical thinking and advanced patient assessment skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage patient sedation and monitor for potential adverse reactions.

Shift Details

• Assignment Type: 12-week contract.
• Start Date: October 5, 2026
• End Date: December 26, 2026
• Schedule: Primarily Monday-Friday, 5 days per week.
• Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts, AM shift type.
• On-Call: Required for 2-3 shifts per month.
• Weekend Rotation: Occasional Saturday shifts may be required.
• Holiday Requirements: Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) AND 1 out of 3 minor holidays (The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).
