Engineering Project Manager- Stormwater

Freese and Nichols is currently searching for a highly motivated Engineering Project Manager within our Stormwater practice with a strong technical background to direct and lead stormwater management projects. This is an exciting opportunity to serve in a seller-doer role primarily focused on our Stormwater practice. In this role, you will have the opportunity to serve as a project manager/engineer on pursuits and execute project delivery with our nationally-recognized technical teams. You will also be able to partner with clients to create and develop projects and opportunities to help establish client accounts with multiple professional service practices. You will be a key part of our Stormwater team in Tampa working to ensure projects meet internal quality expectations, client expectations and are delivered on time, and within budget.Primary ResponsibilitiesManage, lead, and oversee projects through the full project lifecycle (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/control, and closeout) for design engineering and engineering/construction projects.Manage project performance, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, communications, resources, procurement, and risk management, with accountability for meeting project financial and delivery objectives while optimizing client service and technical quality.Provide independent leadership and oversight for project teams, including engineers, analysts, and technical staff.Coordinate with and support project teams across FNI’s national offices and serve as a technical lead.Provide internal quality control efforts throughout the stormwater practice within areas of their expertise.Serve as a primary point of contact for clients on assigned projects, effectively participating in client meetings, public presentations, and interactions with stakeholders at various levels of project management.Qualifications6+ years’ experience in stormwater managementBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or comparable engineering or applied science degree)Florida Professional Engineer (PE) licenseExperience with a diverse range of software packages such as ICPR/Stormwise, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS (steady, unsteady flow, and two-dimensional), ArcGIS ArcMap, and the Microsoft office suitePreferred Qualifications Experience with advanced H&H modeling software including Infoworks ICM, XP-SWMM, and ICPR 4, as well as ArcGIS ProCFM Certification and/or experience in floodplain management practicesKnowledge of FEMA RiskMap Program, Guidelines and Standards for Flood Risk Analysis and Mapping, preliminary and post-preliminary processing, and the Mapping Information Platform (MIP)Local experience and/or working relationships with clients in NE and SW Florida regions, including an understanding of FDEP and WMD criteria and permittingAbout Freese and NicholsAt the heart of our culture is our LEADS values (Learn continuously, Engage as family, Act with integrity, Deliver quality, and Serve always).
