Recreational Therapist (NS)

The Julian F. Keith Alcohol & Drug Abuse Treatment Center (JFK ADATC) is currently accepting applications for a Licensed Recreational Therapist. Recreational Therapists integrate treatment plans with intervention strategies in an attempt to restore, remediate, or rehabilitate functioning and independence of the client. Reassessment and evaluation are consistently conducted, and treatment plans are rewritten in collaboration with the treatment team. The scope of services provided by the Recreational Therapist includes assessment of client care needs and planning and development of individualized treatment goals, objectives, intervention strategies, and other appropriate documentation as required.

Salary Range: $39,864.00 - $59,797.00 Annually

Work Week: Monday Friday (including some holidays and weekends, as needed)

ABOUT THE FACILITY

JFK ADATC is a 68-bed inpatient treatment facility designed to meet the needs of adults with substance use disorders from the 44 westernmost counties in North Carolina. The facility treats individuals with substance abuse and psychiatric diagnoses. JFK is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations as a Behavioral Health facility and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as an inpatient psychiatric hospital.
