Bus Driver - Standby 6 hr./day

Location: Little Miami Transportation Department Little Miami Transportation department is looking for a 6 hour per day standby bus driver. A standby driver position is a contracted route that does qualify for benefits.Standbys are guaranteed 6 hours per day . Please see the attached job description. Description: Drivers will transport students to and from a variety of school sites and will ensure their safety while they are passengers in the school bus. Employees in this classification receive general supervision within a framework of standard policies and procedures. This job class is responsible for ensuring the safety of all passengers, including special education students, while operating the assigned bus and for ensuring the assigned bus is in a safe operating condition at all times. Drivers may be assigned to drive wheelchair buses. This description identifies essential functions to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Pay: Starting pay is $23.72 per hour and can go up to $28.94 per hour pending experience Health insurance for employees working 3.6 hrs/day or more Board pays 90% of monthly premium Dental insurance - Board pays 95% of monthly premium for employees working 3.6 hrs/day or more Vision insurance - Board pays 95% of monthly premium for employees working 3.6 hrs/day or more Life Insurance - The district provides a $50,000 life insurance policy for employees Health savings account Employee assistance program Qualifications: Have an acceptable criminal background check within the past twelve months of employment and a negative pre-employment drug test Be of good moral character Be physically qualified as determined by an annual physical and present a valid annual physical certificate Possess a valid Ohio Driver License Possess a Commercial Driver License with a School Bus Passenger endorsement Hold a current bus driver certificate issued by the Warren County Board of Education Have satisfactorily completed all behind the wheel training Have satisfactorily completed the School Bus Driver Education Program Attend all safety workshops and meetings as required by the school district administration Must be available to drive any and all routes, shuttles, etc. Maintain excellent or above average attendance Maintain a safe driving record that meets the insurance requirements #J-18808-Ljbffr The Greater Cincinnati School Application Consortium
