POSITION SUMMARY

GenPro Energy Solutions is seeking a Solar Mechanical Installer to support the construction of large-scale utility solar projects. This position is responsible for installing solar field foundations, piles, racking, tracker systems, and other mechanical components according to project plans and specifications.

The ideal candidate has experience in solar or heavy construction, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to safely operate equipment such as pile drivers, skid steers, telehandlers, excavators, backhoes, and boom lifts. This role requires working outdoors, traveling regularly to project sites, and maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• 10 days on / 4 days off general schedule

Travel Requirements: This is a traveling position. Employees may be required to travel to project locations based on business needs. Company-coordinated flights may be provided when applicable. Employees are responsible for arranging and paying for their own lodging/accommodation unless otherwise specified for a particular project.

PAY GRADE RANGE

Base Pay: $22.59/hour - $35.47/hour Based on Experience

Prevailing Wages: Employees assigned to projects subject to prevailing wage requirements will be compensated in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local prevailing wage laws and regulations. Prevailing wage rates apply where required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Properly locate & install piles according to construction design documents
• Measure, cut, assemble, & bolt structural framing
• Lay out & mount solar panels according to construction design documents
• Operate a variety of heavy equipment and construction class vehicles in compliance with the company's operating safety policies and procedures
• Loading and offloading rocks, debris. and other materials from heavy equipment
• Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers
• Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner
• Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse
• Works as part of a team under strict deadlines
• Must have a good understanding of job site safety procedures
• Attend and participate in all on-site safety training
• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment
• Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation

• Assist team to ensure job site is clean and organized at the end of the day

• Report all accidents or injuries to the job Foreman
• Capacity to provide and follow direction
• Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:

• Eye, hand, and foot coordination: Must coordinate movements of your hands and feet to guide very large machinery in tight places
• Operation Monitoring: Must have the ability to read gauges, dials, and other indicators, and adjust them as necessary
• Interpersonal skills and teamwork: Must be able to coordinate your actions with those of other workers on busy construction sites
• Troubleshooting: Anyone operating heavy equipment should be able to detect and fix operating problems
• Critical thinking: The job will require that you identify the strengths and weaknesses of solutions to problems to choose the one that is most likely to be successful and cost-effective
• Excellent vision or the use of prescribed lenses
• Must be dependable
• High level of integrity and work ethic

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver License with acceptable driving record, preferably with CDL

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• Construction and mechanic experience preferred
• Prior experience in Solar installation & operating a variety of heavy equipment required
• Experience in renewable energy is desired not required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ABILITIES

• Physically able to lift and move objects 10-50 pounds
• Standing/walking for long periods
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, lift or stretch
• Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
• Work outdoors across varied terrain, adapting to different surfaces and environments
• Climbing and descending stairs and ladders
• Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
• Must be able to stand and work on your feet for at least 8 hours per day and excessive overtime as required

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work environment and physical demands are expected, as below:

• Frequent travel to remote solar project sites.
• Work performed outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical jobsite activities as needed.
• Long and variable work hours based on project schedules and milestones.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Travel Required to muti-state region with extended overnight stays
