Job Description Job Description Medical Front Desk Coordinator Dermatology Associates is seeking a professional, compassionate, and detail-oriented Medical Front Desk Coordinator to join our team. Position Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients in a warm, professional, and courteous manner Check patients in and out accurately and efficiently Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation Collect copays, balances, and other patient payments Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments Answer and direct incoming telephone calls while providing excellent customer service Respond to patient questions and assist with routine concerns in a professional manner Communicate effectively with providers, medical assistants, billing, and other departments Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information in the electronic medical record Obtain necessary forms, consents, and other patient documentation Assist with referrals, authorizations, and other administrative tasks as needed Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and office policies Keep the reception and waiting areas organized, professional, and welcoming Assist with maintaining an efficient patient flow throughout the office Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a positive attitude at all times Perform additional administrative duties as assigned Qualifications Previous medical office, healthcare, or customer service experience preferred Dermatology or specialty medical office experience is a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and time-management skills Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment Strong attention to detail and accuracy Professional, friendly, and patient-focused demeanor Ability to work effectively as part of a team Comfortable learning and utilizing electronic medical records and computer systems Ability to handle sensitive and confidential patient information appropriately Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Enjoys helping people and creating a positive patient experience Remains calm and professional in a fast-paced environment Takes ownership of their responsibilities Communicates respectfully with patients and coworkers Is dependable, accountable, and willing to learn Pays attention to details and takes pride in doing things correctly Works well independently while also being a strong team player Demonstrates Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence every day Why Join Dermatology Associates?
