Contract (13 Weeks) | 12-Hour Variable Day/Mid Shifts (7a–7p or 11a–11p) | 36 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Weekend and Holiday Rotation Required

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver fast, high-quality emergency care to adult and pediatric patients across a broad acuity spectrum, from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies
• Perform thorough patient assessments and apply strong critical thinking skills in a high-acuity, fast-paced satellite emergency department setting
• Accurately document patient care and clinical information using Epic electronic health records
• Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adapt to variable shift scheduling (day or mid shifts) based on unit need
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotation as required by unit staffing needs

Required Qualifications

• Active Indiana RN license or valid Compact RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records system
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and manage change effectively

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• Experience working in a satellite or freestanding emergency department environment
