As a vital part of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality care to patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, with a particular focus on post-operative rehabilitation for spine surgery patients. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ physical abilities and needs to develop individualized treatment plans that align with their goals and expectations.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to implement therapeutic interventions for pain management, mobility enhancement, and functional improvements, particularly for those recovering from spine surgery.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with patients, their families, and multidisciplinary team members to ensure a holistic approach to care that addresses physical, emotional, and psychosocial factors.
• Demonstrate proper body mechanics and safety protocols during therapy sessions to maximize patient safety and promote effective healing.
• Educate patients and families on techniques, exercises, and lifestyle modifications to facilitate ongoing recovery beyond therapy.
• Participate in departmental and facility-wide quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
• Engage in community outreach programs to promote health literacy and preventive care initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your practice will focus on outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation, primarily working with adults recovering from various musculoskeletal conditions, including but not limited to post-surgical interventions for spinal issues. You'll have the opportunity to build rapport and trust with patients as you guide them through their recovery, employing a compassionate and tailored approach to care.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, with current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• A strong understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation practices, particularly in relation to spine surgery recovery.
• Current CPR certification, obtained upon hire or during orientation, with the requirement to maintain certification throughout employment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, complemented by proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel, to facilitate documentation and coordination of care.

Preferred Experience

While all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with a background in outpatient orthopedics and experience in treating spine surgery patients. Familiarity with similar therapeutic protocols and a commitment to ongoing professional learning and development will be advantageous.
