NP/PA General Surgery - Night Shift - opening near Albany, NYAbout Position:Located in Troy, NY; Albany 7mFull Time - Overnight Inpatient roleEmployedSeeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our General Surgery team in Troy, NY. This is a night shift, inpatient-only role providing in-house coverage for surgical patients across multiple service lines.Join a collaborative, team-focused surgical practice committed to high-quality, patient-centered care, supported by strong system resources and a collegial clinical environment.Provide overnight, in-house inpatient coverage for surgical patients, including: - General Surgery - Gynecology - Orthopedics - Vascular SurgeryManage pre-operative and post-operative patients throughout the night shiftMonitor patient progress and clinical status overnightOrder, review, and interpret labs and diagnostic tests as appropriateCollaborate closely with surgeons and APP colleagues to implement and adjust treatment plansProvide patient education, care coordination, and discharge planningMaintain accurate, timely clinical documentationNo operating room responsibilities-Monday- Friday 11p-7aBroad clinical exposure across multiple surgical service linesSupportive General Surgery team with a strong culture of collaborationRequirements:Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.NYS licensePrevious experience in general surgery or a related field is preferred.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
