We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to help accelerate our product strategy at CloudBees. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role at the intersection of AI, developer tooling, and enterprise software delivery.

You will define and drive the roadmap for Unify Release Orchestration, coordinating multi-service, multi-environment releases across the tools customers already run, working closely with engineering, design, GTM, and customers. You will set the bar for developer experience, and represent the product with executives and enterprise customers alike.

This role is ideally based on the West Coast. We want someone who has shipped CD, deployment, or release management products — not just thought about them — and who brings both the technical depth and the executive presence to lead a product toward a meaningful, differentiated outcome.

What You'll Do

• Own the Unify release orchestration roadmap end-to-end — from strategy and prioritization through spec, launch, and iteration — for developer-facing AI-native capabilities across the CloudBees platform.
• Partner with engineering to make smart decisions on release processes, deployment models and strategies, API design, and integration with existing developer tools.
• Drive 0?1 product initiatives: identify the highest-leverage opportunities, build conviction, align stakeholders, and ship — before it's perfect.
• Own developer experience: obsess over clean primitives, great documentation, fast time-to-value, and predictable behavior in production.
• Engage directly with customers to validate problems, test assumptions, and build credibility as a domain expert.
• Represent the product vision internally to the C-suite and externally to prospects, customers, and the developer community.
• Write your own product specs — you are a player-coach who leads by doing.

Who You Are

• 7+ years in product management, with 3+ years building developer-facing products (APIs, SDKs, platforms, or dev tools) and 2+ years shipping AI/ML-powered products at scale.
• Experience shipping in a B2B SaaS environment serving enterprise developers, platform teams, or DevSecOps buyers.
• Experience in Application Release Management, deployment automation and governance areas.
• Hands-on fluency with AI native stack — you've shipped it, not just read about it.
• Proven track record taking products from 0?1 inside a larger organization, and scaling them to meaningful adoption and revenue.
• Strong technical depth — comfortable in architecture discussions on API design, inference cost, and integration with existing developer workflows (Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, Kubernetes, ArgoCD etc.).
• High bar for developer experience: clean primitives, great docs, fast time-to-value, predictable behavior in production.
• Excellent written communication and executive presence; credible with engineers, customers, and the C-suite alike.
• Startup mentality — comfortable with ambiguity, fast decisions, and shipping before it's perfect.
• Customer Obsessed — You treat customer problems as your own and build relationships with the people behind the logo, not just the account. You can point to decisions you changed because of what a customer told you.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Pay Range: $220,000 - $250,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location and may be more or less than the amount shown above. Outside of base compensation, CloudBees also offer stock options and variable bonuses.
