Our customer base includes North American & International Navies, Governments, Militaries, Commercial Vessel, and Super Yacht Builders.The Production Team Lead is responsible for the smooth and safe operation of their team, helping workers to meet goals, and mediating concerns with the Production Manager. The Team Lead position requires an individual who is comfortable interacting with front line staff, peers and plant management. It is a fast-paced environment requiring one to multi-task while performing the duties of the job. The Team Lead must set an example by working in a safe manner, following all Health and Safety policies and procedures, and using proper PPE.Top Responsibilities:Working closely with our in-house Engineering Team, ensuring timely delivery of projectsProvide support to the department Production ManagerDaily crew talksDaily scanned in hours between 75-80%Collect and maintain department Preventive Maintenance sheetsApprove team payroll and vacation timeProgressive discipline in department as neededAccountability for bi-annual performance reviews for all team membersUpdating department Pace charts as neededMonitor the flow of production; Prioritizing as requiredTeam Coordination: Coordinate the team and ensure they are applying all policies and proceduresMeeting Goals: Accountable for the team's ability to meet production goals, overall schedule attainmentTrack and record production numbers dailyProvide assistance as needed when equipment is down, or there are issues with suppliesCommunicate to the department Production Manager if equipment is not operating properly.Report any observed performance issues to the Production ManagerLead by example (safety and workmanship)Make sure all employees in department are following safe work proceduresPerform work in a safe manner by following all safety rules and practicesWear personal protective equipment (PPE): steel toed footwear, safety glass, face mask, etc.Report any unsafe work practices or dangerous work habitsMonitor work area by checking for trip hazards, unsafe or faulty equipment and/or any unsafe conditions.Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable recordsQualifications:Strong leadership and communication skills, both verbal and writtenAn eye for quality is essential to uphold the standards of final productsMust be a team player – possess interpersonal skillsExcellent time management and organizationComfortable with computers and learning new production equipment software applications as requiredMinimum 2-years' experience in a production facility and multicultural work staff environmentDemonstrate extensive experience in interpreting welding and fabrication drawingsStrong expertise in electrical and hydraulic systemsExperience with welding, fabrication, electrical and hydraulics, assembly and quality controlExcel as a team player and leader, adept at managing a crew of employees and navigating the complexities that may ariseAble to operate with our core values in mind: "We love to help, we move fast to action, we build for the future, we thrive under pressure, and you can trust us to own it"Thank you for your interest in AdvanTec Marine.
