Job Title: Machinist
Location: Watsonville, CA
Schedule: 5:00 AM – 2:00 PM | Full-Time
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $25.00/hour

Manpower is partnering with a growing manufacturing company in Watsonville, CA to hire a Machinist . This is a great opportunity for an experienced machinist who enjoys working with precision parts and collaborating with engineering and production teams.

• Machine precision parts according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
• Operate and set up vertical milling machines (CNC and manual)
• Review blueprints, bills of materials, and specifications to determine machining processes and requirements
• Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and part-holding methods
• Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to ensure they meet required tolerances
• Identify defects and recommend improvements or program adjustments as needed
• Provide estimates for machining and programming time for job quotes
• Support engineering and assembly teams with troubleshooting and quality evaluations
• Perform additional duties as needed in a fast-paced production environment

• High school diploma or GED required
• 5–10 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong experience with CNC controls and vertical milling operations
• Proven ability to set up and run jobs with minimal supervision
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
• Basic computer skills (email, word processing)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• On-site position (no travel required)
• Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required based on production needs
• Manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong visual acuity required, including close and color vision
