We are looking for a Data Solutions Analyst. This is a full-time position based in the Austin area.


Job Description


As a Data Solutions Analyst, you will be working in a fast-paced environment with other team members. The ideal candidate should be detail oriented and will support the company's technology initiatives across workflow automation, data analysis, dashboard development, geographic information systems (GIS) analysis, and IT operations. This role will also support internal product development and drives the integration of AI/LLMs and cloud infrastructure to meet our evolving business needs. Working closely with our leadership team, this role is perfect if you are early in your career and eager to build practical skills across Data, Development, and Applied AI.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance interactive dashboards and reporting tools to visualize operational, transportation, and business performance data.
• Perform data analysis using statistical and analytical methods to identify trends, generate insights, and support data-driven recommendations, under direction from company leadership.
• Conduct GIS (Geographic Information Systems) analysis, including spatial data processing, mapping, and geospatial modeling, to support transportation planning studies.
• Support internal operations by identifying repetitive manual processes and building automation scripts/workflows to streamline them, as directed by leadership.
• Assist in the design, development, and testing of internal software tools, supporting the product development lifecycle from requirements gathering through deployment under company leadership.
• Support integration of artificial intelligence and large language model (LLM)-based tools into internal workflows, including prompt design, evaluation of AI outputs, and light fine-tuning or configuration tasks.
• Assist in deploying and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure and applications (e.g., data pipelines, hosting environments) under supervision, to support scalable delivery of analytics tools.
• Document technical processes, workflows, and system configurations to support knowledge continuity.
• Perform other related technical and analytical duties as assigned, under the general supervision of company leadership.

Qualifications:

• Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related field.
• Experience: 5 years of hands-on experience (including internships, coursework projects, or employment) across areas such as software development, data analysis, dashboard/BI tools, or applied automation for a Bachelor's degree, or 0-2 years of experience with a Master's degree.
• Expertise in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Power BI/Tableau, or similar).
• Exposure to GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS) through coursework or project experience.
• Exposure to AI/LLM tools or frameworks (e.g.,OpenAI/ Anthropic,LandChain, Prompt Engineering).
• Experience with Dashboard/BI tools and scripting for automation (e.g., Python).
• Basic Understanding of cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS, or Azure)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members in a startup environment while following direction from company leadership.
• Have basic domain knowledge in transportation planning and related data sources.

Salary


$30 - $33 per hour
