Real Estate Paralegal

A leading firm in Downtown Charleston, SC is seeking a Real Estate Paralegal to support attorneys in commercial real estate transactions. This role involves title review, legal document preparation, and coordinating the closing process. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex transactions and working with title companies, lenders, and stakeholders. Responsibilities: Assist attorneys with commercial real estate transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and financing. Conduct title reviews, identify potential defects, and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues. Draft and organize legal documents, including purchase agreements and loan documents. Manage transaction timelines, closing checklists, and post-closing compliance. Maintain transaction files and legal documentation. Qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Paralegal in commercial real estate or transactional law. Strong proficiency in title commitment review, surveys, and zoning reports. Ability to manage full transaction lifecycles, from due diligence to closing. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management software. Experience collaborating with title companies, lenders, and financial institutions. Hours: Monday - Thursday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM | Friday, 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM Benefits: Employer-paid health insurance (60-day wait); family coverage available.
