Operating Room Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: AM (07:00 - 15:30) - 5 × 8 hr shifts per week.

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse will perform nursing care during all surgical procedures, including General Surgery, Urology, GYN, ENT, Vascular, Pain Management, and Orthopedic surgeries. The nurse will be responsible for ensuring patient safety, supporting the surgical team, and providing high-quality care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of patient care in the operating room setting.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and manage patient vitals during procedures.
• Prepare and maintain the operating room and surgical instruments.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding surgical procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an operating room setting.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
