Technician Specifics Learn While You Earn – Fully paid training Top Tech – Annual competition with prizes Dealer Trainers – In‑house training team Tool allowance Safety glasses/shoes reimbursement Technician onboarding program Mentorship program – support for new technicians Multiple shifts available – find the best schedule with shift premiums Tuition/tool reimbursement for accredited technical school graduates Paid vendor and OEM training programs Paid uniforms and laundry services Individual laptop (most dealerships) Benefits Package Health benefits – medical, dental, vision, orthodontics Supplemental benefits – accident, cancer, disability policies Retirement – 401(k) with company match Employee assistance programs Maternity/paternity pay Pet insurance Paid time off 9 company holidays Adoption assistance Paid community involvement opportunities Smart Dollar program – free financial planning Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities Perform vehicle inspections, troubleshooting, and testing to determine required or recommended repairs Accurately diagnose malfunctions and perform necessary repairs, including engine failures, mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, and replacement of parts and components Examine assigned vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended Verify vehicle serviceability and ensure quality repairs the first time by conducting test drives and adjusting controls and systems as required Ensure that customer vehicles are kept clean during the repair process Contain costs by using warranty and evaluating service and parts options for repairs as required Communicate with service advisor and/or dispatcher if additional work is needed Assist service writer as needed to write work orders, conduct test rides, interact with the customer, or otherwise guarantee customer satisfaction Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt of parts and supplies Maintain a clean, efficient work area and assist in keeping the shop neat and organized Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order in accordance with standard operating procedures Understand terminology of the automobile business and stay abreast of technology changes in the product Follow attendance and punctuality standards and timekeeping requirements Follow the Code of Business Ethics and Conduct Understand and follow all work rules and follow directions from supervisors Uphold the company’s non‑disclosure and confidentiality policies Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company policy Attend pertinent training on request Attend company meetings as required Diesel Mechanic Requirements High school diploma or equivalent and two‑year related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school and two‑year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience Ready to join?
