Speech Therapist (SLP)

Facility: Breezy Hills Rehabilitation and Care Center Location: Lakeland, FL Schedule: PRN Pay: $57 per hour About The Position Breezy Hills Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. The Speech Therapist will provide individualized speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing therapy to residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. Responsibilities Evaluate residents and develop individualized speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing treatment plans. Provide therapy to improve communication, cognition, swallowing, and functional independence. Treat residents with speech, language, voice, and dysphagia/swallowing disorders. Develop and implement therapeutic programs based on each resident's needs, abilities, and goals. Recommend and train residents in the use of adaptive and augmentative communication devices when appropriate. Monitor resident progress and modify treatment plans as needed. Collaborate with nursing, therapy, dietary, and other interdisciplinary team members. Participate in care plan meetings, staffing, and resident care conferences. Educate residents, families, and facility staff on communication and swallowing strategies. Supervise supportive personnel in accordance with professional and state regulations. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with facility, state, and professional standards. Requirements Graduate degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program. Current or eligible Florida Speech-Language Pathology license. Eligible for or holding ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Experience in SNF, skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or healthcare preferred. Strong communication, clinical, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Why Join Breezy Hills?
