Hourly Pay Rate: $54.31

Education Required:
Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.


Certifications Required:
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Current unrestricted license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

• Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule (e.g., 24/7, weekend, holiday, on-call availability) and travel throughout and between facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Verifies physician order and procedure to ensure accuracy.
• Uses radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explains procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
• Operates imaging equipment independently to complete procedures according to protocol, including placement of nasogastric tubes, IVs, urinary catheters, and administration of contrast.
• Reviews patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards are met.
• Completes timely quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards and performs notification/remediation as needed.
• Assists in departmental operations including inventory, staff scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
• Adapts behaviors to the specific patient population, respecting privacy, adapting explanations, and obtaining permissions.
• Performs other related duties as required.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensures adherence to company policies, including compliance and privacy standards.

Physical and Environmental Demands:

• Heavy work involving exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds constantly.
• Requires walking or standing for significant periods and working in patient care areas.
• Routine exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues.
• May involve occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials.
