Position Overview
El Paso Behavioral Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to provide effective counseling services remotely. Key Responsibilities
- Build and nurture positive, trusting relationships with patients through consistent and empathetic communication.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose mental health disorders and identify client needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique circumstances, utilizing evidence-based methods and therapeutic techniques.
- Facilitate regular counseling sessions with individuals, couples, and families, adapting treatment approaches based on ongoing evaluations of progress.
- Maintain thorough documentation of patient interactions, assessments, and treatment plans to ensure continuity of care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and specialists when necessary to provide comprehensive patient support.
- Stay updated with the latest research and techniques in the field of marriage and family therapy to enhance service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will work with a diverse demographic, including adolescents, adults, and families facing various challenges. Whether addressing issues of anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or co-occurring disorders, your expertise will play a significant role in guiding clients toward healthier lifestyles and improved emotional well-being.
Qualifications
- A valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Washington.
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Exceptional therapeutic and counseling skills, with a proven ability to motivate and engage clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, fostering effective collaboration within the team and with clients.
Preferred Experience
- At least 1 year of professional experience working as an LMFT, preferably in a mental health or counseling setting.
- Experience or specialized training in addiction counseling, including an understanding of evidence-based practices for substance abuse treatment and co-occurring disorders.
Compensation and Benefits
